U.S. Consul Will Visit Thessaloniki June 26 – 27, 2014

A U.S. Consul will perform a consular outreach trip to the Consulate in Thessaloniki on Thursday, June 26 and Friday, June 27.  During the visit, the Consul will accept passport applications and can register the birth of children born abroad to U.S. citizen parent(s).  To make an appointment for a passport,  Consular Report of Birth, or notarial service please visit https://evisaforms.state.gov/acs/default.asp?postcode=TES&appcode=1

Any U.S. citizen may apply for the renewal of their passport during this visit.  Citizens who have lost their passports and do not need to travel immediately can apply for a replacement passport.  Anyone with immediate travel plans should make an appointment athttps://evisaforms.state.gov/acs/default.asp?postcode=ATH&appcode=1 to appear in person at the U.S. Embassy in Athens.  U.S. citizen parents of children born in Greece may apply for the Consular Report of Birth Abroad for their children.  Passport application forms and information on passport renewal and issuance of Consular Report of Birth Abroad may be obtained at Here.  Applicants must answer all mandatory questions on the entire passport application in English.  No mandatory questions can be left blank.

Please note that fees for these services must be paid by a Eurobank check only.  The check, made payable to the American Embassy, may be obtained from one of the following banks:  National Bank of Greece, Alpha Bank, Eurobank, Bank of Piraeus, Attica Bank, Citibank, HSBC, or Geniki Bank.  The Embassy is not authorized to accept personal checks.  If you submit more than one application, one bank check may include the total amount.  Please view the Schedule of Fees at Here for information on the cost of services.
