The U.S. Passport Card can be used to enter the United States from Canada, Mexico, the Caribbean, and Bermuda at land border crossings or sea ports-of-entry and is more convenient and less expensive than a passport book. The passport card cannot be used for international travel by air.  

Fees

The application fee for first time adult (over 16) applicants is $65.00; for a previous passport/passport card holder the fee is $30:00 and $15.00 for all minors under the age of 16.

Residents of Greece

U.S. passports are produced at facilities in the United States. Processing time is usually approximately 3 weeks, can take as long as one month.  Your previous passport will be canceled and returned to you with the new one by courier. Courier service is payable by you upon delivery.

If you are also applying for a Passport Card, you should note that they take approximately 3 months to process.  If you would like the passport sent to you before the Passport Card, please enclose two return delivery envelopes with your application.

A passport application will take approximately three weeks to process and a passport card, 2 months.  If you would like to receive your passport before the passport card, please provide two courier envelopes at the time you submit your application.
