
Spotify lead product designer and art director Tobias van Schneider was the key note speaker at the World Information Architecture Day 2015 hosted in Thessaloniki, simultaneously with 38 cities in 24 countries around the world and spoke about architecting happiness by design. World Information Architecture Day is a one-day annual conference, held across the world, helping a community of like-minded professionals and enthusiasts to share their common goal of teaching, learning, and shaping the future of information architecture. Through the local Greek partner, AdAxem Greece and Parallaxi magazine, the event focused on building local communities of practice within a global network, allowing new designers to showcase their work and fostering networking with successful designers from around the world. Tobias van Schneider, speaking about his work and inspiration, encouraged other designers not to fear failure, try things out and participate, be consistent and hard working. During his visit to Greece for the World Information Architecture Day event in Thessaloniki, Tobias van Schneider, Art Director of Spotify, made a stop in Athens and led a roundtable discussion at Innovathens, Technopolis. Tobias and his fellow panelists talked about the importance of collaboration and building a community in the field of design, both locally and internationally, and the potential of development that the creative industries have.
