
Secretary of the United States Army, John McHugh, met today with Greek Prime Minister Antonis Samaras, Alternate Minister of Defense Fofi Gennimata, Chief of the Hellenic Defense Forces Mikhail Kostarakos and other senior Greek officials. The Secretary of the U.S. Army’s visit to Athens reinforces the high-level coordination and excellent bilateral and military-to-military cooperation between the United States and Greece. The meetings covered a range of bilateral and regional issues of importance to both nations, including Greece’s support for the NATO Alliance, and our common efforts in the fight against ISIL.
