March 31, 2017 – Fulbright Scholarship Alumnus, architect, and photographer Yiorgis Yerolympos led architecture students on a tour of the historic Chancery Building of U.S. Embassy Athens, designed by Walter Gropius – one of the most prominent figures of modern architecture. The students learned about this architectural landmark’s unique history and significance to U.S.-Greek relations. Ambassador Pyatt also spoke to the group about the building’s upcoming renovation to restore Gropius’ original vision and improve functionality.
