U.S. Embassy Athens supports a series of workshops organized by Mindspace. On March 11 and 12, seventeen groups of young students from the wider region of Patras took part in the first round of the #MindspaceChallenge, a pitching competition that gives young entrepreneurs the opportunity to turn their ideas into reality, learn crucial presentation skills, and network with similar minded students from around the region.

The workshops will travel to Ioannina, Thessaloniki, and Athens, before the final this May. The top three teams from each city will compete in mid-May, and the winners of the overall competition will each receive 8,000 Euro of seed funding from The People’s Trust – as well as incubation there to get their ideas off the ground. Teams interested in participating in Ioannina, Athens, or Thessaloniki should contact Mindspace for more information.

The three Teams that won the Mindspace Challenge in Patras are:
-One Mind (Tool for business angel investors)
-Netflix (subscription based service for the rental of video games
-Moment Biokinetics (Improve human motion via adaptive recommendations)
