Due to fluctuating exchange rates, the official USD-Euro consular exchange rate will be increased to 1.0 EUR from its current rate of 0.95 EUR. This rate change will take effect on Monday, July 25, 2022.
Adults eligible to renew their U.S. passports by mail can avoid any exchange rate complications by paying online, following the procedures described on the Passport Services page of the U.S. Embassy website.
