U.S. Embassy Athens is pleased to announce that there is a new online fee payment option for adults who are eligible to apply for a passport by mail.
Effective immediately, adults renewing their U.S. passports by mail in Greece may now pay online when applying with a DS-82 application form. By using the online fee payment option, eligible applicants will avoid making a trip to the bank and paying a bank commission to obtain a bank check.
To determine eligibility to use form DS-82, please visit the Renew an Adult Passport by Mail page on the U.S. Embassy Athens website at https://gr.usembassy.gov/u-s-citizen-services/passports/renewing-adult-passport/. If eligible, applicants may use the link on our website to access the U.S. government’s secure payment site. Through this secure payment site, applicants may submit online passport fee payment using a U.S. or international credit or debit card, electronic funds transfer from a U.S. based bank account, Amazon Pay, or PayPal.
