During a week-long visit to the north of Greece, English Language Specialist Lydia Stack visited Thessaloniki for seminars with English language teachers on how to promote tolerance, diversity, and anti-bullying techniques in their schools. Speaking in front of a full house of more than 150 English language teachers in the Thessaloniki History Center on February 4, Professor Stack shared valuable information about America’s experience with bullying, ways to deal with it, and at the same time promote the values of tolerance, acceptance, and respect. Dr. Stack focused on the importance of sharing values with parents and the role of teachers in promoting anti-bullying behavior, both inside and outside of school. Dr. Stack further spoke to Anatolia College English teachers about those themes, and at the American Farm School about new trends of teaching English to foreign students.
