Location: Athens and locations throughout Greece
Event: Public sector and private sector employees announced a 24-hourPanhellenic General Strike for November 26, 2020. Demonstrations related to the strike are also expected in Athens at Klafthmonos Square at 10:30 a.m., and at the Ministry of Health at 12:00 p.m., as well as other possible locations and times. The following strikes are scheduled for Thursday, November 26, 2020, unless otherwise noted:
- Ferry employees will be on a 24-hour strike.
- Metro/Electric Train/Tram employees will be on a 24-hour strike.
- Air Traffic Controllers will be on strike Wednesday, November 25, 2020 from 6:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m., and on a 24-hour strike Thursday, November 26, 2020.
Actions to Take:
- Review your travel plans.
- Contact your airline or travel company for assistance.
- Avoid the areas of the demonstrations.
- Exercise caution if unexpectedly in the vicinity of large gatherings or protests.
- Monitor local media for updates.
- Keep a low profile.
