The Benaki Museum launched the 2017 Athens Photo Festival, “Still Searching,” on June 14. In its 30th year, the festival features 85 artists from 30 different countries and spans two floors of the Pireos Street Annex, showcasing international cultures through photography and related media.

U.S. Embassy Athens has long been a partner of the festival, supporting American participation. This year, six American photographers will display work in the main exhibition: Julie Anand/Damon Sauer, Frank Day, Jeremy Underwood, Bubi Canal, and Sean Thomas Foulkes. These artists will present photographs inspired by technology, the environment, violence, dreams, and more. The festival, which runs until July 30, includes a training program for emerging photographers, a lecture series, and performance photography.
