Ambassador Pyatt Visits Patras

U.S. Ambassador Geoffrey Pyatt visited Patras last week where he met and spoke with government officials as well as individuals in the shipping, tourism, and business sectors.

Ambassador Pyatt met the head of the Patras port to discuss the impact of migration on the port’s operations and the shipping industry. He also visited the University of Patras’ Pharmacy School, a partner of Johns Hopkins University, to learn about their new medicines and innovative medical technology. While at the Achaia Clauss Winery, the Ambassador had the chance to explore wine tourism and wine’s place as a Greek export. Finally, Ambassador Pyatt met young entrepreneurs and learned about their start-up businesses in the POS co-Working Space in collaboration with InterMedi@KT.
